The complete course runs over a period of five weeks but individual modules may be taken. To qualify for this Certificate of Competence you must comply with the requirements of MSN1858 and successfully complete the following training modules:
- Officer with OOW Certificate of Competency (CoC) .
- Navigation, ARPA & RADAR Simulator
- Ship Stability
- Business & Law
- Seamanship & Meteorology.
- STCW Medical Care Aboard Ship.
- 12 months as Watch-keeping
- Celestial Navigation
- Oral Examination Preparation recommended.
- MCA Oral Examination.
